Job Description

As an essential member of the Criterion.B team, the Junior Account Executive serves as a liaison between the agency and the clients while maintaining accountability for managing projects, building relationships, and developing new business organically and through existing clients. The ideal candidate must be confident, meticulously organized, great at communication, possess strong business acumen, balance tactical and strategic objectives, able to travel when needed, and most importantly be responsive to internal and external needs. The candidate should also be respectful, fun, thoughtful, and able to work closely with a tight-knit group of people, internally and externally. Must be able to learn quickly and wear multiple hats if need be. This position reports to the Account Director.

Responsibilities: 

  • Operate as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to your customer accounts
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Work with the Account Director to renew and grow existing contracts
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Continually work to grow and develop your current book of business
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of client deliverables
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. monthly sales results and quarterly forecasts)
  • Prepare reports on account status as needed
  • Keep and maintain the organization of all client materials, both printed and web-based
  • Provide daily status update to all team members
  • Responsible for developing necessary creative briefs and sharing them with the assigned team(s) for the client.
  • Responsible for overseeing the planning of all marketing needs and misc. projects
  • Oversee the meeting minutes for all internal and client meetings
  • Manage phone and contact list updates
  • Ability to travel when/if needed
  • Be a team player and jump in on tasks when needed that may be outside your defined role

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, English, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience with account management, internships included
    • Preferred, but not required in an agency setting
  • EXCELLENT verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and help the company grow
  • Proficient in the Google Drive suite applications
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects at once
  • Basic Understanding of Adobe CC Products
  • Knowledge and understanding of all social media platforms
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with WordPress, or other CMS platforms
  • Proficient with using a Mac
  • Familiar with inbound marketing and digital marketing strategies
  • Eagerness to be a part of a small, but growing team
  • Strong initiative for problem-solving, with the ability to turn client’s needs into solutions
