Every year, we all tell ourselves we’re going to get in shape, eat better, become more organized, go to bed earlier, quit bad habits, read more books, spend more time with our families and have more “me” time. Besides our personal lives, we set new goals for our professional lives – increase sales quotas, create new business relationships, hire new staff, have more productive meetings, open new offices and expand to new cities. All of these resolutions are great, but one that I highly encourage all of you business men and women to strive for in 2014 is to make your digital storefront, also known as your website, a TOP priority. Consumers are online, and the chances that they are conducting searches via a tablet or smartphone are on the rise in 2014. Not all mobile devices are treated equal – all come in different shapes and sizes, and it’s time to start focusing efforts on pleasing more of the masses – what better way that with an all-inclusive solution: Responsive design. Knowing your customers will be spending more time this year on their mobile devices means you can no longer have a seperation of your desktop site and your mobile site and expect your customer to have a positive user experience.
